Tour of Plymouth
(4 or 6 hours)
Just 45 minutes south of Boston, Plymouth offers an abundance of history as the settlement of William Bradford and the Pilgrims in 1620, and the site of the First Thanksgiving. One of the most popular attractions is Plymouth Rock, a large rock taken from the actual landing place of the Mayflower. You will view the statue of Massassoit, chief of the Wampanoag Indians, who befriended the Pilgrims and helped them survive the first winter with food and shelter. On board Mayflower II, you experience the hardships and adventures of the 17th century voyage of the Pilgrims as you interact with costumed role players. You can visit Plimoth Plantation, a re-creation of a 17th century village that provides an accurate and engaging view of what life was like for the early settlers.
