From a population of 400 struggling on a marshy peninsula in 1630 to the intellectual center it is today, Boston has amazing stories to tell…

Our tour takes you through the historic sites on the Freedom Trail, including the Old State House, headquarters of British government in Boston; the Paul Revere House, the oldest residential building in downtown Boston; the Old North Church, site of the spire where Robert Newman displayed the two lanterns “one if by land, two if by sea” to warn Paul Revere of British troop movements toward Lexington and Concord; and the Massachusetts State House, designed by Charles Bulfinch.

…to Beacon Hill, a charming, affluent, residential neighborhood with gas lamps, ancient elms, brick sidewalks, and 19th century row houses, recognized as a National Historic District.

…to the Back Bay of Boston including the Grand Boulevard of Commonwealth Avenue, and the inviting boutique shops of Newbury Street. Other attractions include the Boston Public Library, Trinity Church, the jewel of Boston’s architecture, Boston Symphony Hall, and the Museum of Fine Arts.

…to Harvard University, the oldest institution of learning in the USA, established in 1636. Among its esteemed graduates are six presidents of the United States. You have a photo opportunity by the statue of John Harvard, for whom the University is named.

The tour is completed by a pleasant drive along the Charles River, by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a view of Boston's skyline.
